24 hours alert to the client
SMS Alert can send you a notification 24 hours in advance of the delivery moment. The message is fully configurable so that your customer is pre notified 24, 2 or even 1 hours in advance. If you use the pre-notification the customer is already aware of your delivery or visit and is waiting for your delivery or visit at the right moment. More info...
Live GPS data
Live GPS data is used to determine the remaining drive time of the vehicle towards the delivery location. SMS Alert uses the GPS data of the tracking device to monitor the vehicle, when its about time to deliver SMS Alert will notify you. More info...
2 way chat with your clients
What if you are not there ? When you receive a message “we will arrive in 15 minutes” would it be nice that you are able to tell the driver that you are next door ? SMS Alert 2 way chat feature does the trick, simply reply to the text-message with “please deliver package next door, i am there” and the driver received this in his driver terminal. And if he cannot find you he also can respond to your message.

Update clients about delays
Traffic jams and roadblocks are the day to day challenges when you are on the road, SMS alert automatically notifies your customer when you are delayed. A threshold “not acceptabel delay” can be set for SMS Alert to trigger the delay message, if for what reasons you do not meet the delivery time SMS Alert send a text-message indicating the new delivery time.

Personalized text messages
Would it not be nice that you can dress your customer with his name ? telling him “dear John, we will arrive in 14 minutes with the flowers which you ordered yesterday, sincerely your driver Jack”. Where John and Jack are the data elements SMS Alert extract from the order and the driver identification system, the Alert system knows that your customers name is John and the delivery guy is called Jack. It also knows that the driver needsanother 14 minutes to arrive at his destination. SMS Alert allows you to create detailed personalised message to your customer using data from the current order and data from the transport management system.

Social media integration
Currently SMS Alert uses text-messages to inform clients, drivers and others about delivery and arrival. Text-messages stil have the highest attention value of all mobile media. You cab send unsolicited Text-messages to anybody, you do not need to be in his inner circle like in various social media channels. But if customers are willing to enter their inner circle of attention then SMS Alert can reach them, using social media like Telegram, Facebook messenges and others you can reach your customers in the same way. A specialised SMS Alert bot is used to communicate with the contact, you even can brand this bot to improve your customers experience of your brand.

Notify your drivers

Import & Export orders
You can import orders in several ways, the easiest one is just enter your orders in WEBFLEET and SMS Alert sees them after the next synchronisation. The SMS Alert service has an API where you can connect to with your own program. E.g. a ERP system or TMS that you use to register your sales and transport orders, through the API one can real time import the orders into SMS Alert. Script language for templates
Personalised messages are created using a script language in the Alert templates. Substitution of keywords can easily be done and this would look like:
dear ${order.contact or ‘customer'}, Your TomTom WEBFLEET appointment will arrive in ${alert.eta_in_minutes} minutes. Regards ${driver.name1 or ‘your driver'}
Even when data is not available, the drivers.name is not present then you have the possibility to set default values where no data is available. Even complex ‘if’ ‘then’ ‘else’ constructs are possible for instance you decide which text to send depending on the data of the order.

Credit level notifications
The application uses credits, which you have bought, to calculate the cost of the Text Messages. One credit is one Text message throughout the world, and when the credit level reached the predefined low level you will be informed. More info...
